Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey recently announced the conviction of a Trafford man on 12 horrific charges involving the sexual abuse of a child.
Ronald Shane Crow, 48, was convicted of two counts of sexual torture of a child under the age of 12, distributing a controlled substance to a minor, rape in the first degree, three counts of sodomy in the first degree, sexual abuse of a child under the age of twelve, two counts of unlawful imprisonment, indecent exposure and menacing.
The trial began Monday with jury selection.
The victim in the case, a nine-year-old girl, was abused while in Crow’s care in May 2021. She was taken to Children’s of Alabama, where doctors determined she had been drugged with methamphetamine and amphetamine. She had to be sedated due to hallucination
