A national moment of silence begins at 8:46 a.m., the time the first plane hit the World Trade Center. Locally, the Hills4ATL 9/11 Stair Climb benefits the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation at the Thompson Hotel tonight at 6:30 p.m.
