A 17-year-old Belleville youth faces two counts of assault with a weapon following a reported family dispute Thursday evening in the west end.
City police “responded to a report of an altercation between family members at a home,” a police news release stated. Article content

Someone at the scene reported male person “had picked up a knife and threatened others before fleeing the scene,” the release added.
Officers located and arrested teenager. He is also charged with uttering threats.
The youth’s name was withheld in accordance with Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act. He was held pending a bail hearing, the result of which was not immediately available. Article content Article content
