Embattled Liberal Senator Jacinta has refused to front the media after appearing in public for the first time since she was axed from the frontbench, following controversial comments about Indian migrants.
The event came a day after Senator Nampijinpa Price was removed from the Liberal shadow ministry for comments she made about Indian-Australian community.
Internal divisions have been deepening within the Liberal Party after the senator last week claimed the government was running a migration program aimed at Labor-leaning Indian migrants.
She then refused to endorse Opposition leader Sussan Ley at a press conference, while walking back her remarks about Indian-Australians.
But Senator Nampijinpa Price stopped short of apologising for the comments, and was dumped from the shadow minis
