SAN FRANCISCO—A shooting occurred from a police officer of the San Francisco Police Department at 11:19 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, September 4, 2025, when a man showed law enforcement a sharp object on United States (U.S.) Highway 101. This incident occurred at Cesar Chavez Street and Potrero Avenue off-ramp from northbound at U.S. Highway 101 adjacent to Bayshore Avenue.

This all came about because this individual was walking on the U.S. Highway 101 off-ramp Cesar Chavez Street with San Francisco sheriff’s deputies and police officers of the San Francisco Police Department.
