ASHEVILLE – Anna Stearns, a Black Mountain attorney and small business owner, has announced her bid for a seat on the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners, according to a Sept. 9 news release.

In a statement, Stearns, a Democrat and lifelong Buncombe County resident, said she’s running because she has “a deep commitment” to the county and its residents.
