Charlie Kirk, conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was discussing mass shootings in America at an event Utah Valley University Wednesday when a shot rang out, killing the 31-year-old in what officials are calling "a targeted attack." Kirk, who attracted both support and controversy for his views on gender, gay rights and race, was a close ally of President Donald Trump.
