LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A Boring Company employee is recovering following a “crushing injury” Wednesday night.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to the scene just after 10 p.m. when employees from The Boring Company approached first responders to inform them of what was happening.
Firefighters had to descend into the tunnel opening and make contact with the employee. They had to use a “stokes basket” to safely transport the worker. “A stokes basket is a sturdy wire or plastic litter designed for transporting injured people in difficult terrain or confined spaces,” the fire department said.
“A crane on site had to be used to lift the patient from the sub grade tunnel opening to the surface,” fire crews added.
