CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WV News) — The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has changed the start time for future Natural Resources Commission meetings to 6 p.m. to encourage more public participation.

The change comes after the commission's first hybrid simulcast meeting on July 24, which allowed in-person attendance at all six district offices and was livestreamed online. The WVDNR said the meeting has since been viewed more than 2,000 times on YouTube.

The WVDNR received public feedback on the meeting’s start time and decided to adjust it to make participation easier.
