TOWN OF MUSCODA, Wis. (WKOW) — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman found in the Town of Muscoda on Wednesday.

A neighbor reported seeing her unresponsive in her driveway around 6:15 p.m., according to a press release from the sheriff's office.

A deputy discovered the deceased woman at the scene. Due to unusual circumstances, the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory’s Crime Scene Response Team was called in to assist with the investigation.

The victim's identity is being withheld until family notifications are made. An autopsy will be scheduled by the Grant County Coroner to determine the cause of death.

Sheriff Craig Reukauf said there is no immediate danger to the public, but details are limited to protect the investigation's integrity.
