Emmerdale Vanessa Woodfield star Michelle Hardwick met her real-life wife Kate Brooks on the set of the ITV soap but the producer has since moved over to Coronation Street

Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has paid tribute to her famous wife as they celebrate a special occasion together after meeting on the set of the ITV soap . ‌

The soap star, 49, has played the role of village vet Vanessa Woodfield since 2012 when she was introduced as the daughter of Frank Clayton (Michael Praed) and half-sister of Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh). ‌

However, some soap fans may not realise that Emmerdale is where Michelle met her real life wife Kate Brooks. ‌

Talented TV executive Kate previously worked as a series producer on Emmerdale, before being appointed as Coronation Street's producer
