CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Huntington East Middle School experienced an alleged threat from a student last night, according to Justin Boggs, Deputy Superintendent of Cabell County Schools.
Boggs gave the following statement at 10:21 p.m. last night:
“We apologize for the late call this evening, but we wanted to let you know that we are aware of an allegation that a student at Huntington East Middle School made a threat. This matter is currently under investigation by the Cabell County Sheriff’s Department.
Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased police presence at the school tomorrow. Please know that we take any reports of threats very seriously. Any student found to be making threats of violence will face criminal prosecution and be recommended for expulsion from
