CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WV News) — To honor the life and memory of Charlie Kirk, Gov. Patrick Morrisey has ordered flags lowered to half staff at all state facilities beginning at noon on Friday, and to remain there until sunset on the day of interment.
“I just heard the terrible news about Charlie Kirk,” Morrisey said earlier. “He was a fighter, a conservative warrior, and a friend. Please join Denise and I in praying for Charlie’s family and friends.”
Charlie Kirk was born on Oct. 14, 1993, in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
At the age of 18, he co-founded Turning Point USA, a youth organization built on conservative principles and outreach to young people especially on college campuses.
Kirk grew to be a widely known and influential media figure, the host of the “Charlie Kirk Show,” a regul
