More than 50 apprentices are launching their careers with British Steel. At the company's operations in Teesside and Skinningrove , 14 new apprentices are embarking on their studies while 12 Technical and Functional apprentices will also join the business soon.
Around 30 of the new starters will work at the business’ manufacturing headquarters in Scunthorpe and have joined in electrical, mechanical, and fabrication and welding roles. Together, the 56 apprentices are the first to join the steelmaker in three years.
