WASHINGTON -- President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he will posthumously award political activist Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Trump revealed the plan during a ceremony at the Pentagon to remember the events of 9/11.
“I’m pleased to announce that I will soon be awarding Charlie Kirk posthumously the Presidential Medal of Freedom," Trump said. “The date of the ceremony will be announced and I can only guarantee you one thing, we will have a very big crowd. Very, very big.”
