DES MOINES, Iowa — Attorney General Brenna Bird is warning residents of Iowa to be cautious of scammers posing as potential employers. These scams often involve receiving unsolicited job offers via text or email, promising easy work-from-home positions. Bird emphasized that these offers, which may request personal financial information under the guise of setting up direct deposit, are fraudulent. “If a job offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.
