HARTFORD, Conn. — Part of an effort to keep the Connecticut Sun in the Nutmeg State, Attorney General William Tong is seeking to determine the WNBA's involvement in talks of a potential team sale and investigate legalities related to the sales talks.

This comes with Tong's concern that at least one potential buyer intends to "move the team out of Connecticut and away from its dedicated fanbase," and wants to make sure negotiations and decisions made are being done by the book.

Tong sent a letter to the WNBA, expressing his concerns about the latest reports on a sale of the professional women's basketball team and his commitment to keep the Sun in Connecticut.
