GB law enforcement still searching for vehicle in Wednesday fatal hit-and-run

Great Bend law enforcement are still searching for a vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident Wednesday evening. An official lookout has been issued for a dark blue Chevy S-10 pickup with heavy front-end damage.

On Wednesday at approximately 6:42 p.m., Great Bend Police responded to a report of an injury accident at 111 Chisholm Trail St. Barton County Sheriff’s deputies were also summoned and found a person deceased at the scene.

The driver of the suspect vehicle had left the scene, BTSO reported. Authorities began a search of the area that continued for several hours. Authorities also checked video cameras from several area businesses and then issued the look-out notice.
