A recently opened restaurant in a Boston suburb just received high praise from Yelp.

Plazita Mexico Tacos , which opened its Watertown location on Dec. 7, 2024, landed on Yelp’s list of the “Top 25 Hot & New Latinx-owned eateries in the U.S.”

The list identified businesses in the Latinx-owned category, and ranked them based on the volume and ratings of reviews given by Yelp Elite Squad members.

Plazita Mexican Tacos, which has a 4.6- out of 5-star review on Yelp, was the only restaurant in the Northeast to make the list.

Yelp said the eatery offers “authentic Mexican recipes with homemade tortillas, fresh salsas and classic fillings like carnitas, lengua, al pastor, and more.”
