Brantford Police issued a statement Thursday morning regarding a social media report of an alleged sexual assault earlier this week at Cedarland Park.

“We feel it necessary to address a recent wave of misinformation that has been circulating throughout our community,” said Brantford Police communications manager Robin Matthews-Osmond. “Despite what has been shared online or by word of mouth, detectives have confirmed that no assault or sexual assault occurred in the incident currently under review.”
