South Eugene cross-country runner Madison Zemper-Prill is the winner of the Eugene-Springfield area high school girls Athlete of the Week, as voted by Register-Guard readers.

A senior, Zemper-Prill placed 14th at The Wilsonville Night Meet, covering the 3,000-meter course in 10:58.71. In a race featuring some of the state's top runners, she was the fastest local finisher.

Zemper-Prill received 66.15% of the reader poll votes. Marist Catholic volleyball player Lauren Rohman was second (16.44%).
