ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A police investigation is underway after a student injured a teacher Thursday morning during an "incident" at Northview High School, prompting a brief lockdown.

The Special School District of St. Louis County confirmed a teacher was injured by a student in an "incident," but it's unclear what exactly happened or led up to the teacher's injury.

The teacher was rushed to a hospital and is being treated for minor injuries, while the accused student has been taken into custody, according to the Special School District.

No other injuries were reported.

The school district noted, as a precaution, that Northview High School, North Tech High School and Ackerman Middle School were placed on a lockdown while the situation was addressed.
