OREM, UT -- The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk . On Thursday, the agency released a pair of photos showing the suspect clad in sunglasses, a black hat, a black shirt and dark pants.

The suspect appears to be college-aged and blended in well with the college campus where the shooting took place, according to Beau Mason, the commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety.

Law enforcement says it has also recovered a Mauser .30 caliber bolt-action rifle in a wooded area near the university campus, according to the Associated Press. The rifle was found along a path believed to have been traveled by the shooter as they fled the area.
