I was wading through the 2025 box-office numbers this morning looking for inspiration, and I always find it surprising when a movie does much better than I’d have guessed. In the U.S., we tend to measure a film’s success by its opening weekend (or maybe two), even though plenty of movies quietly rack up big numbers overseas.
