EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - East Texans are preparing to gather in remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Centers and Pentagon in 2001.

KILGORE COLLEGE

Kilgore College is set to host their annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Devall Student Center Ballroom. Guest are asked to arrive at 9:45 a.m. before the start of the ceremony at 10 a.m. The event is open to the public.

TYLER COUNTY

Tyler County volunteer firefighters plan to honor the first responders of 9/11 through a special work out in the City of Woodville. Members of the Woodville and Shady Grove Volunteer Fire Departments will take turns climbing a stair machine wearing full bunker gear and a “self-contained breathing apparatus” (SCBA) to symbolize the climb the firefighters made after responding to the attack.
