Students at the University of Central Florida are mourning after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a prominent activist, and are collaborating with UCF to improve security at future campus events.

Jonah Scott, president of UCF’s chapter of Turning Point USA, expressed the group's concern.
Scott noted Kirk's unique influence, stating, "He was a really unique figure. I don’t think there’s anyone like him in the country."
The chapter held a meeting on Wednesday night, guarded by UCF police, just hours after Kirk's death.
Scott described the atmosphere, saying, "It was a packed room. People had to stand up. There were not enough chairs. And people were really angry about what happened."
