(The Hill) -- Two hosts of "TMZ Live" apologized after laughter was heard on a live stream during the outlet's coverage of Charlie Kirk's assassination on Wednesday.
As President Donald Trump announced Kirk had died after being shot at Utah Valley University, TMZ's livestream showed staff at the tabloid rushing to update their coverage.
Laughter and cheers were heard in the background, but hosts Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere said the outburst had nothing to do with Kirk's death.
"We were livestreaming all day during this tragedy when something happened in our office," Levin said as part of an apology posted online. "As we were reporting the assassination of Charlie Kirk, there were some people in the back room away from our news desk here who were watching a car chase and they
