LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Ingham County Prosecutors' Office has charged Ashley McKinstry, a 41-year-old woman from Lansing, with assault with intent to murder and felony firearm. Investigators say she shot a man in the face.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 44-year-old man shot in the face. The man was rushed to the hospital. Police report the man had to undergo emergency surgery.
