• Kirk gunned down: Far-right activist and Trump ally Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a speaking event at a university in Utah on Wednesday. The assassination of the divisive 31-year-old leader of Turning Point USA is the latest instance of growing political violence in America. Kirk has espoused Christian nationalist views and has been known to spread bigoted rhetoric about women, LGBTQIA people, people of color, Jews, and Islam.
