A John Wayne Western classic is getting a limited edition new Blu-ray release.

Back in 1970, John Wayne teamed up with Howard Hawks once again, after Rio Bravo and El Dorado, for Rio Lobo.

And just like the previous two films, the plot would follow a sheriff defending his office from outlaws. Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT

Amid a plethora of revisionist and Spaghetti Westerns, Hawks’ final Western would stand firm in the classic tradition of the established Western myth.

And now Eureka Entertainment is releasing Rio Lobo on a new Blu-ray as part of The Masters of Cinema Series.

Set for release on November 17, “this edition is strictly limited to 2,000 copies and comes housed in an O-card slipcase with a collector’s booklet.”
