SHREVEPORT, La.— The Highland Jazz and Blues Festival is set to return for its 21st year, bringing live music, food, art and family fun to Columbia Park in Shreveport’s historic Highland neighborhood.
The free festival, presented by Ambetter Health, takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature three stages of performances, more than 60 vendors, a children’s art area sponsored by Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, and a pet-friendly space.
Headlining this year’s lineup is Louisiana bluesman Kenny Neal and his seven-piece band. Neal, known as one of the strongest modern voices in swamp blues, will close out the Pavilion Stage. Other acts include Buddy Flett, Doug Duffy and BADD, Josh Madden and his Blues Brothers Tribute Band, and the Curtis Mills Collective.
