Job seekers will receive a big boost thanks to an Ontario investment of $1.27 million in annual funding in the Elevate Plus program.
In an announcement on Wednesday at Belleville City Hall, Bay of Quinte MPP Tyler Allsopp and members of Quinte Economic Development Commission and Loyalist College celebrated the funding to help train 349 participants in the program with the skills they need to return to the workforce, especially within the manufacturing sector.
Now in its 12th year, Elevate Plus is a proven means of getting people back to work and is delivered by the Quinte Economic Development Commission (QEDC) in collaboration with Loyalist College and the Quinte Manufacturers Association.
