Income inequality declined, the number of Americans with college degrees increased, fewer people changed residences, and the share of Asian and Hispanic residents grew in the United States from 2023 to 2024, according to data released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau. The findings are based on the American Community Survey, an annual survey of 3.5 million households covering topics such as income, housing, education, and commuting.
