CHURCHILL COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) - A crash in Churchill County has killed a man from Fallon.

On Sept. 3, at around 4:00 p.m., troopers with the Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the area of Wildes Road and Pasture Road in Churchill County for reports of a crash.

An initial investigation shows that the driver of a 2018 Chevy Impala was headed west on Wildes Road when they tried to pass a car in the same lane.

The Chevy entered the eastbound lane and veered to avoid a car headed the opposite direction and entered the shoulder of Wildes Road. The driver of the Impala then attempted to steer back onto Wildes Road, but rotated and struck a power pole.
