Kingston Police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect who allegedly stole from a west-end business in August.

Police were able to obtain video surveillance from the store, which showed the complainant entering a washroom. Upon leaving, the person forgot their cellphone that had a wallet case attached to it with various banking cards and identification.

The suspect then entered the washroom and upon leaving, appeared to be adjusting a rectangular object in the back right pocket of her shorts.

In the video, the complainant could be seen passing the suspect further down the hallway as she returns to the washroom to look for her cellphone, but at that point it was gone.

According to police, this provided the suspect with an exclusive opportunity to steal the property.
