TREMONT, Ill. (WMBD) -- Every Thursday morning, students at Tremont Grade School are greeted with a fist bump and a happy smile from a group of veterans called "Fist Bumping Veterans."
This Thursday, citizens of the United States of America remembered the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and the impact that it has had on our country, as communities across America commemorate the event's 24th anniversary.
Rick Otey, the founder of the group and a Vietnam veteran, said today of all days is especially important to be there for the kids as they walk into school.
