A 17-year-old boy is dead and two other juveniles were wounded in an early Thursday shooting in Port Huron, police said.

They also said the victim's father is suspected of shooting them and was arrested.

"It's definitely tough on everyone," Port Huron Police Chief Brian Kerrigan said during a news conference at the shooting scene Thursday. "Another senseless act of violence, just a heinous crime, just unthinkable to have this happen."

Officers were called at about 6:10 a.m. to a location in the 2800 block of Glenview Court near 24th and Pine Grove avenues for a report of a shooting, according to authorities.

Police said they found three juveniles with gunshot wounds inside an apartment. Officers rendered aid until medics arrived and took them to a hospital.
