Polly Holliday, the Emmy-nominated actor who played sassy waitress Flo on CBS’ “Alice,” died Tuesday at her home at age 88.

Holliday led the CBS spinoff series “Flo” and appeared in “Gremlins,” “Mrs. Doubtfire” and numerous Broadway productions.
