From the Twin Cities to greater Minnesota, people are remembering the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks across the state. WCCO says hundreds of volunteers in St. Paul are observing the anniversary by packing meals. “This is the fourth year volunteers are packing meals in observance of 9/11. This year, there are more than 500 volunteers packing nearly 200,000 meals for those in need.”
Meanwhile, KTTC writes the Kasson community will host its 9/11 Memorial Program Thursday night. “The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Kasson Fire Hall with a prayer from the South Zumbro Lutheran church pastor. Then, Boy Scout Troop 231 will walk from the fire hall to North Veterans Memorial Park with a police escort.”
