On September 26th, Collider hosted an exclusive screening of Lionsgate's The Long Walk at the Landmark Sunset Theatre in Los Angeles — and we captured the audience’s real-time reactions as well as their initial thoughts to the film’s most shocking and intense moments.

Directed by Francis Lawrence (of The Hunger Games fame) and adapted by JT Mollner, The Long Walk is based on Stephen King’s 1979 dystopian novel. The story unfolds in a totalitarian America, where teenage boys are forced into a grueling endurance walking contest—if they slow below 3 miles per hour, they face execution. Only one can survive.

The film stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, Roman Griffin Davis, Jordan Gonzalez, Judy Greer and Mark Hamill as The Major.
