CANTON, N.Y. (WWTI) - A number of residents in the village of Canton and at St. Lawrence University are still under a boil water advisory.

According to village officials, water service is being restored after a pair of water main breaks.

The village alerted the public on Wednesday that the residents and businesses could be affected by an outage that lasted from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Here are the following areas that are being affected by the advisory: • South of Main Street, east of the Grasse River, west of Ramoda drive. • St. Lawrence University Campus • Park St • Miner St • West St • Mechanic St • Grove St • Clark St • Lincoln St • Nickerson St • Dies St • Maple St • Park Place • Elm St • Jay St • University Ave • College St • Hillside Rd
