COOS BAY, Ore. - The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has launched the Heritage Award Program to honor businesses and organizations that have supported rural communities for more than 50 years.

According to the Chamber, this initiative celebrates the enduring contributions of these entities to the South Coast's economy and culture. On Sept. 9, the Chamber's Executive Director Rosey Thomas and Office Manager Jolene Krossman, known as Team ROJO, presented a Heritage Award to the North Bend City Council and Mayor Jessica Engelke.

“North Bend is honored to receive the Chamber’s Heritage Award in celebration of our 122 years as a city,” said Mayor Engelke.
