Bozeman High senior wide receiver Evan Hughen announced his commitment to Montana State football Wednesday via social media.
Hughen — a 6-foot-2, 175-pound WR/DB — was offered a preferred walk-on spot by the Bobcats in June. He recently went on a visit to MSU’s Gold Rush game against South Dakota State last weekend with Bozeman teammates Walker Roodell and Luke Zundel.
As a junior in 2024, Hughen finished with 43 catches for 768 yards and six touchdowns, earning second team all-state honors. Hughen is also an all-state cornerback and returns kicks for the Hawks.
Through two games in 2025, he has eight catches for 163 yards and two TDs, per MaxPreps.
The Bozeman WR is the ninth known commit in MSU’s 2026 recruiting class. Hughen joins Gallatin WR Carter Dahlke , Brophy College Prep
