CLEVELAND (WJW) – A former attorney who is accused of killing his client because he wasn’t prepared for trial is getting closer to his own trial.

A pretrial hearing was scheduled at the Justice Center in Cleveland Thursday afternoon for Gregory Moore.

Moore was Aliza Sherman’s divorce lawyer.

Sherman was killed near his downtown office in Cleveland in March of 2013, the week of her divorce trial.

Moore's attorneys have told the I-Team they plan to take the case to trial. Saying Moore is not guilty of the charges.
