MPD said the weapon was taken from a vehicle parked at a lot in the 300 block of N. Lake Street.
Authorities later found the suspect hours later walking in the 400 block of W. Gilman Street.

Officers arrested him and booked him into the Dane County Jail.
The 61-year-old faces charges of felony resisting causing injury and misdemeanor resisting.
