Two arrested after firearm found inside backpack at Maize High School, district says

MAIZE, Kan. (KAKE) — Two arrests have been made after a firearm was found inside a backpack at Maize High School on Thursday.

In an email to parents, Maize USD 266 said,” Thanks to multiple reports from Maize High School students regarding a possible firearm brought to school, Maize Police officers and school administrators worked immediately and collaboratively today to locate and confiscate a firearm in a backpack. Everyone is safe.”
