LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Zoox’s rectangular robotaxis are now available for use around the Las Vegas Strip, and they are free for a limited time.
On Wednesday morning, people lined up outside Resorts World to take their first ride, some more excited than others.
“I’m having fun, man, I’m gonna go drink and drive right now,” one rider said as he stepped into a robotaxi.

He can’t drive, thanks to the vehicle’s lack of a steering wheel or pedals.
Zoox’s chief product officer, Mike White, said the robotaxi is like no other car on the road. It’s entirely custom-built in California, with carriage-style seating and vision better than a human’s.
