WACO, Texas — A Central Texas resident is about to step into the national spotlight, trading everyday life for the chance to test her knowledge on one of America’s most iconic game shows.

Baylor assistant professor Saralyn McKinnon-Crowley will appear as a contestant on "Jeopardy!" this week, a dream she says has been years in the making.

“I love trivia, it’s been a really big part of my life,” McKinnon-Crowley said. “I definitely remember growing up watching 'Jeopardy!.' My grandma was the kind of person where she, on her VCR machine, she recorded 'Wheel of Fortune' and 'Jeopardy!' and 'Price is Right' every day, and so that would be part of her routine.”
