ROBINSON, Texas — A Robinson Volunteer Firefighter made a long journey to honor those who served and the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
In honor of the first responders who helped save lives on 9/11, Robinson Volunteer Firefighter Polidoro completed a 110-floor stair climb in Colorado alongside his father, who is also a retired firefighter, the department announced.
Robinson VFD said the climb "symbolizes the journey those firefighters took on that day and keeps their memory alive through action, grit and unity across generations."
"As we reflect on this solemn day, we remember the fallen, support the families and carry forward the legacy of service and sacrifice," Robinson VFD said in a post on social media.
Polidoro and Robinson VFD were among many fire departments and other agencies
