LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- It's not hard to miss the headlines or social media posts of people saying they're avoiding Las Vegas because it's too expensive.

"The first day I was here, I got a bagel, and it was $12, so I definitely had a little bit of sticker shock," Caitlyn Laney of Scottsdale, Arizona, said during her August 24 visit.

8 News Now has reported on how the current state of politics has contributed to a decline in Canadian tourism to Las Vegas.

Steve Hill, the president of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, spoke on the matter.

"See what the price of Las Vegas really is, rather than some general headline that, frankly, is not accurate," he said.

But one group of travelers is shrugging off the prices and current politics: Mexicans.
